My relative missing in Japantown (UPDATE: Found!)

UPDATE: Bobby Joe has been found in a hospital in San Francisco; thank you all so much for your kind wishes and help in locating him!  Read my follow-up post, and the SF Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury News both have updated articles.


My relative Bobby Joe Lamascus went missing Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 1:30pm in San Francisco's Japantown. He is mentally disabled and takes epilepsy medication to control seizures. He is 50 years old, 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, probably wearing a brown jacket and Levi's blue jeans.

If you have seen him, please call the San Bruno Police Department at 650-616-7100. My post with additional details is here at Lunch in a Box.

If you are able to forward this to your friends in the area, local online forums or mailing lists, I'd certainly appreciate it. We're crossing our fingers that Bobby gets home quickly and safely. Thank you for spreading the word.

They found him this morning! In a hospital on a ventilator. Thank goodness. I can't update my web entries from here, but I will do later when I'm at a computer. Big relief.

I just posted about him in my journal. I'm in italy so I can't help more than spreading the word out to my friends but I really hope you'll find him soon and that he'll be safe and well.
